International Symposium Sukm 2024 On Microbiological Diagnosis And Therapy Of Infections, Serbia

At the end of March, DNA-Technology took a part in the international symposium "News in microbiological diagnosis and therapy of infections – The future is now" in Serbia.

Over 200 participants from Serbia, Montenegro, Croatia, Macedonia, Bosnia, Albania, and Russia discussed questions related to microbiological diagnosis and therapy of infections.

The topic of antibiotic resistance was widely discussed, participants showing particular interest in the BacResist GLA kit and the comprehensive BacScreen OM kit for DNA analysis of opportunistic bacteria. The Mycoscreen kit was highlighted as a valuable tool for  detection and typing of pathogens causing by yeast-like fungi.

Traditionally, many visitors of the symposium highly appreciated the innovative approach to comprehensive diagnosis of the urogenital tract in the Androflor® and Femoflor® kits, intended for microbiome composition analysis.

The following lectures were delivered by our lead speaker, Dr. Med. Sci., Prof. Ekaterina Voroshilina:

· Real-Time PCR for detection of opportunistic bacteria and genes of resistance to glycopeptide and beta-lactam antibiotics
· Detection of yeast-like fungi in clinical samples by Real-Time PCR
· New approaches to overcoming reproductive problems in couples
· Novel Real-Time PCR test for assessment of children gut microbiota
